On February 28-March 2, 2025, 16 participants who are delegates from 5 locals, 3 non-locals and 2 observers have run the Perhimpunan Merdeka pre-congress.

This is a big stepping stone where the most determined anti-authoritarians in Indonesia for mass organizing gather themselves in a specific anarchist organization.

In this pre-congress meeting we have analyzed which are the most potential sectors in society and the organizational structure that best suits the needs of strategy-tactics but at the same time must be based on libertarian principles.

We dispersed again, reorganized the existing bases or built from scratch, improved the performance of each locals, and prepared ourselves for the First Congress and the Declaration of Establishment with the call “Towards a National Federation”. We were bound by a collective agenda that had been advocated by our revolutionary predecessors: Build popular power!
